Why IBM is blocking a senior employee from joining Microsoft

According to a report by ZDNet, Rodrigo Kede Lima quit IBM sometime in May to join Microsoft but till now has been unable to do so. The reason? A lawsuit filed by IBM, which states that Lima breached his non-compete agreement.
